Steel personnel doors come in a host of variations for various uses both internally & externally. Robust products are all built in the UK with security in mind. Each door coming with a protection astragal formed flush as part of the outside face of the door leaf, this ensures that the door performs consistently in terms of security & function.
In the event of an attack on the door, the frame has a step in its edge to ensure that the astragal sits flush. Unlike other doors on the market that have no astragal or joggled astragals, Robust doors make it increasingly difficult for attackers to breakthrough.
The doors are also hung on four stainless steel hinges, complete with dog bolts & four fixing points per side, sitting behind the door leaf. This is done to ensure that the doors are protected whether they are fitted as an inward or outward opening. Robust also offer subframes to doors, covering the gap between the building structure & the main door frame; further measures to ensure the door continues to perform to the utmost level of security. Additionally, as opposed to timber products, the durability of the steel ensures that these products can withstand high levels of damage, be it from high traffic areas or potential abuse.
